After three years of the COVID-19 pandemic, the work world is still evolving and facing new challenges. Technology can help us face these issues, if used correctly. From unlocking collaboration and streamlining processes to even improving our wellbeing and professional growth. In today’s blogpost we will talk about innovations in Microsoft 365 that will help organizations have better outcomes.
Empowering frontline workers
Microsoft has added new integrations in the Viva Connections app, to enable workers to easily access important company resources, like payroll and HR resources, in a single location.
Earlier this year, Microsoft announced the general availability of the Walkie Talkie app in Microsoft Teams on a wide range of Zebra mobile devices.
They’ve also updated the Bookings app in Microsoft teams, to give a comprehensive view of virtual appointments in one location, that includes waiting times, queueing, missed appointments, etc.
Furthermore, to help workers with flexibility for their schedule, they’ve enhanced Teams’ integration with Reflexis Workforce Scheduler (RWS), to create a seamless, real-time sync of managing, viewing, and assigning shifts within the Teams app.
Create content that everyone can use
Microsoft has been working on accessibility for their users, and this period is not the exception. From having an option to run Accessibility Checker in the background while working in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for Windows, to adding Alternative Text to make image-heavy digital documents accessible for screen reading users. This feature is also available for images shared within the Teams chat.
Pin or hide your own video in Microsoft Teams meetings
To avoid distractions caused by looking at your own video feed in meetings, now you can select to hide your own video in Microsoft Teams, while remaining visible to other participants.
Provision Cloud PCs without an Azure subscription
In February 2022, Microsoft announced the preview of Azure AD join in Windows 365 Enterprise, which enables organizations to provision Cloud PCs without requiring an Azure subscription or connectivity to your on-prem environment.
