Five years ago, Microsoft made history by launching its new powerhouse tool: Microsoft Teams. Being a product that provides collaboration, communication, and workstations; it overachieved people’s expectations. By allowing people to connect asynchronously and synchronously —perfect for hybrid work—, Teams positioned itself as a new proactive, unique, and dynamic tool. Powered with improvements made also in Microsoft 365, we’re sure your organization will thrive with it.
According to a Morgan Stanley chief information officer (CIO) survey, during the pandemic, more than 270 million people from hospitals, enterprises, schools, and even non-profit organizations trusted Microsoft Teams to allow them to continue with their activities effectively. Now, hybrid work is being adapted by many organizations worldwide, this leaves us with no doubt that Teams is a solution that will continue changing the workplace, forever.
With this, Microsoft is constantly launching upgrades on Teams and Microsoft 365, to provide the best user experience possible.
Here we present the improvements for hybrid work on Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365
Outlook
Allow your team to coordinate with the new Outlook update, RSVP meetings and even determine if someone will join virtually or in person. This new RSVP option will be in public preview on Outlook on the web in the second quarter of 2022. Not only this, but there will be companion device experiences in Teams Rooms video calls, known as front row. This new hybrid update will prioritize remote workers’ videos during meetings and automatically mute the audio of in person assistants.
Microsoft Teams and Surface Hub 2S
Many teams actively use the Surface Hub 2S and learned to use its almighty possibilities. Now with its new AI-powered Microsoft Surface Hub 2 Smart Camera, it reframes itself and gives a dynamic view of in-room interactions.
Microsoft 365: PowerPoint
A big announcement happened in September 2021, Cameo. This out-of-the-box experience for PowerPoint, allows you to integrate your Teams camera into your presentations and customize when and how to appear on your slides. Recently, Microsoft released Recording Studio, a tool that allows you to record beforehand your PowerPoint presentation and allows asynchronous coworkers to engage with your content. Today, Microsoft brought cameo and recording studio together. In conclusion, this will allow you to easily create, produce and star in your presentations, even if you’re not in a meeting.
Hybrid work came to stay for now on. We are sure that providing your team with the best possible experience and secure productivity is your top priority. Let our experts guide you in applying for one of the upgrades mentioned. We’re happy to help.
