After 10 years of support for Office 2013, on April 11th, 2023, the extended support for this hub will come to an end. After this date, security updates for Office 2013 will no longer be available. Our recommendation is to upgrade to Microsoft 365 apps, which includes the same hub of Office LTSC apps (Worde, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
The products that will be affected by this change are:
- Microsoft 365 suite
- Microsoft 365 Apps
How will this affect your organization?
After April 11th, 2023, Microsoft will no longer provide any new security updates. To continue using this product after this date will increase your organization’s exposure to security risks or affect its ability to meet compliance requirements. Furthermore, if you connect to Microsoft 365 as an Office 2013 client, you might experience performance and/or reliability issues.
Microsoft 365 supports these client versions for connection:
- Microsoft 365 Apps
- Office LTSC 2021
- Office 2019 and 2016
*Note: If you don’t have Office 2013 deployed in your environment, you can safely disregard this message.
