In July 2022, Microsoft announced the new Power Automate pay-as-you-go pricing. This new type of pricing provides flexible payment options for the existing subscription plans.
How does Power Automate pay-as-you-go pricing works?
These new pay-as-you-go options enable customers to pay only for the number of flow-runs they execute in a given month, using an Azure subscription. In a few words, it allows them to pay only for what they need.
These licensing changes went into effect on July 19, 2022. On the other hand, billing started this month (August 1st, 2022).
The Cloud flow-run and desktop flow-run (attended mode) will be priced at $0.60 per flow-run. This enables organizations to run automation at scale, without per-user licenses and again, only paying for the number of cloud flow-runs.
The Desktop flow-run (unattended mode) will be priced at $3 per flow-run. This allows organizations to pay only for the number of desktop flows that run in unattended mode.
